I vote for image A and B. I really like image A, but I am unclear if the asparagus is just floating around? For Image B, can the girl be holding a single broccoli in one hand (as if she has just taken a bite) and on the other hand be holding the whole flower heads?
I have a coworker sitting with me revising....here's our thoughts: A- don't get it. Is he halucinating asaparagus? We can see someone juggling fruits maybe? B- Looks sad, bringing mushrooms or broccoli(?) to a funeral? C- Best of the three, but change the fruit...papaya can have too much of a sexual connatation. Give him a watermelon. D- Is good, but she doesn't really fit our demographics. What happened to sticking with the three main teens from the Eating Healthy pic? Are we not sticking to those?
Ideas...a teen with a bowl of fruit (fruit salad), separate vegetable and fruit sketches to throw onto the brochures, a latino teen eating a corn on the cob on a stick (elote), kids buying fruit from the fruit carts....
I really like A, but I agree with Wing that it' unclear how the asparagus got in the air. Can you turn his left hand around so it's clear that he threw it in the air?
Hey Wing, I decided to keep the demographic of various ethnicities and body types. But, i decided not to do the same exact trio for every page. I think that varying the teens will make the toolkit more fun to look at, because there are different characters.
I don't really like brocoli girl. She got herself a peanut head! Plus, it's not too often that you see anyone walking around, nibbling on brocoli. How about a slightly overweight female eating a corn on the cob? As for the "organic" male giving soem love out to the asparagus....it's alright..just not all that realistic, although I wish it were. I like the thought of him carrying a watermelon.
Mariana says.... I agree with Wing, some teens have also said that the girls head is a bit out of proportion. Aslo agree that these are not common vegetables that you see teens eating, however, I like the idea of illustrating/promoting the consumptions of different vegetables. I like the guy, but the color of his jacket looks purple, can we change that to something darker?
Teen comments..... Most like the male. Females head looks deformed, but i like the hair.
Side notes from Wing and Mariana... Can we make the girls eyes bigger? She looks pretty unhappy. The first one was too happy, now she's looking a little dopey, plus she's got a peanut head!
Eureka! Mariana and I are working on this and decided that the girl with the fedora and vest eating a bowl of something would be a great image for "Breakfast is Best". It just needs a clock in the background indicating 7:00 amish. We love the drawing but maybe only have a semi-open smiling mouth.
